Now it is time for this year’s Ukraine camp in Sweden, and both the children and we who are preparing to receive them at Lärsätergården are full of anticipation. The children are looking forward to leaving their everyday lives in Ukraine behind for a while and enjoying a wonderful time filled with new experiences and friendships. We are many volunteers who with great love and dedication have worked hard to create an unforgettable time at the camp.
- There are 33 people (children, youth team, and Ukraine team) who travel by bus from the village of Piski to Gdynia, a journey of 1248 km.
- From Gdynia, they take the ferry to Karlskrona and then continue by bus to Jönköping, a distance of 226 km.
- The next day, they travel further from Jönköping to Lärsätergården, which is another 280 km.
Additionally, children and young people, Ukrainian refugees living in Eskilstuna, will participate in the camp.
May this week be filled with blessings and new opportunities! The journey begins tomorrow on Tuesday. Pray for a safe journey.
We are so much looking forward to meeting in Sweden soon! Every day we will publish updates from the summer camp. You can follow “Letter from Ukraine Camp” – the Ukraine Camp.

Hi!
Valya here. I’m doing well. I tell you a little about my house work.
It’s the season for conserving food. When I wake up in the morning, I go picking cucumbers and tomatoes and covering salads. Besides conserving, I need to cook and clean at home. As we have power outages, I just need to try and do the work when we have power. Even if I’m tired, I go walking to the river with my friends.
I often remember and tell my friends about last summer’s camp in Sweden. And I’m very much looking forward to meeting the friends in Sweden again this summer. I wish to thank everyone for this great journey during which I can relax and forget about the air raid alerts and the war. I wish you all good health, strength, peace and God’s blessing.
Valentina (Valya)
