Welcome to our weekly review, where we bring together the past week’s most important events and news from Children’s Embassy’s work in Ukraine.
Here you’ll find our social media updates from the week, fresh reports from the field, and stories about the children and families we work with. We also include selected news from other channels that affect our work and the children’s situation.
In each weekly review, we strive to convey both challenges and moments of hope – because both belong to the reality we live and work in.
Childrens diary
in war and on run

Say hello to David! He is 10 and lives as refugee in Eskilstuna, Sweden with his family. He goes to school, speaks Swedish quite fluently, loves football and is waiting for the summer camp.
“Hi, I’m going to the summer camp with Mirjam again this year. I look forward to it. My friends from Ukraine are also coming. I play football three times a week. Football is my favourite thing. Yippee, it’s summer holiday! I go swimming and play games with my friends. And we walk in the woods with mother. I like living here, as there is no war here. David, 10.”
Your help

We delivered clothes, bedlinen and other necessary things.
Many thanks from mother and children for your gift that travelled to Ukraine to give them help and joy.

Monday Glimpes

Monday. We made plans for the week’s work.
Another restless night; we are hoping for a better day. And we pray every day, as we live in the midst of a war.
The children are looking forward to their journey to Sweden for the summer camp – a holiday from the constant alarms.
Their documents are ready and their parents are packing things, hoping that everything goes well.
The last Sunday school lesson was on Saturday. The children received presents.
Wishing you a peaceful week,
