Welcome to Sweden Lärsätergården
Thirty children aged 8-12 years, accompanied by five leaders and two drivers, will come from the Chernihiv area in Ukraine to experience a dream summer in Sweden.
We invite you to join us in supporting a remarkable initiative for thirty Ukrainian children from the Chernihiv area. 30 children, aged 8-12 years, along with their leaders and drivers, will be spending a dream summer in Sweden from August 2nd to 16th, 2024, thanks to a collaboration between Children’s Embassy and the Chernobyl Camp at Lärsätergården.
Why Your Help is Crucial:
These children have endured the harsh realities of war, including the constant sounds of sirens and the necessity of hiding in cellars. This summer camp offers them a sanctuary filled with fresh air, play, nutritious food, countless hugs and the songs of birds.
It is a precious opportunity for them to experience peace, joy, and the beauty of nature, far removed from the stresses of their daily lives.

Sisters Antonina (Tonja) 10 years old and Margarita 12 years old share their expectations for the trip.
Hi, I’m Antonina. Before the war, I lived in Kherson. We had to flee and ended up in Chernihiv. The village leader gave us a free place to stay.
Children’s Embassy also helped us.
Margarita: “We started going to Sunday school at Friend’s House in Pisky. We made friends and heard about the summer camp in Sweden.”
Antonina: “I’m excited about the trip and hope to make many new friends and have fun. I want to see what life is like in another country.!”
