Spring seeds provide food for the year

Our annual spring action is now starting and continues to the 31st of March. The money collected will buy seeds, plants, chickens and geese, pigs, calves… for poor families with children.

In our small village Pisky, growing food is no hobby – it’s a necessity.

The prices are soaring, and many families cannot even buy the basics. When spring comes, the families should buy seeds, plants, chickens, geese, turkeys, pigs and calves. Their own patches provide food for the table. Unless they sow the seeds and buy the poultry in the spring, they will have no food next winter.

The villagers are already busy preparing to sow. Your help is needed right now.

  • One Euro buys two chickens. One family needs 25 to 30 chickens.
  • Two Euros buy ten plants (tomato, cabbage, beetroot…).
  • Three Euros is enough for a goose.
  • The overall seed package costs about 20 Euros.
  • A pig costs about 55 Euros.
  • A calf costs about 110 Euros.
