Time for sharing

Groceries will be bought during the next few days. All children are looking forward to the New Year holidays. They do not celebrate Christmas as we do on 25.12, although it is an official holiday in Ukraine now. Our team asked what 24th means for us. My best explanation was that we celebrate it like they celebrate New Year’s Eve. New Year is a great day for children: the Christmas tree and the whole home are decorated; Father Frost brings gifts; food is served, and everyone is happy. The traditional Christmas according to the Julian calendar is on the 7th and 8th of January. One of the children asked: “How is this possible? Was Jesus born twice?”
